Most people turn the channel when they see an ASPCA commercial with Sarah McLachlan singing alongside homeless animals. It's all JUST.SO.OVERWHELMINGLY.SAD.
But that's not the whole story of rescue.
For the past 8 years, I've been an active volunteer at a local nonprofit animal rescue that wants people to feel inspired, empowered and positive.
My role has been help craft its social media presence by developing the tone, voice and personality of the animals and the rescue.
